The project scope was to complete an asset and building condition audit for a major university in the Northern Territory. We completed a pilot and assisting their Project Manager with scope. We barcoded major plant and equipment and took approximately 10,000 photos. Each asset was given a condition rating and defects were described based on the rating.

The scope including educational spaces, offices and student accommodation across 5 campuses. The data was delivered in an agreed format to upload into their new asset and maintenance management solution for ongoing management and planning of their infrastructure.

The University project was to assist with locating isolation points, valves and other assets related to hydraulics, fire, gas and electrical. The project included creating an asset register, GPS locations for all assets and updating their CAD drawings.
The campus project has been completed.

Initially, the project scope of data was uncertain, we recommended and completed a pilot conducting a ‘lessons learned’ ensuring an agreed outcome. We created standardised asset type hierarchies, location hierarchies, condition ratings and the fields/attributes to capture, ensuring the university could manage the data.

Working with a facilities management service provider they required a condition assessment of student accommodation at a university in Tasmania. With sites across the state, we deployed our team organising access and schedules to fit in with their client, the university staff and the students. Accessing people’s homes does come with some issues but working together with the local staff and continuous communication ensured the project was completed on time and budget.
